My Role in Eyefinity

No good idea is born in isolation, and neither was SunSp*t, the original name for ATI Eyefinity.

I suppose it would be fair to say that my role was:
  • to define and describe Eyefinity
  • organize the efforts to get it developed
  • create the cloak of secrecy which protected Eyefinity
  • and most importantly put it into the Radeon 5xxx products
A great number of engineers and architects actually built Eyefinity.  I wasn't one of those.  In some ways Eyefinity has become greater than I originally envisioned because of really creative ideas from the engineers and architects who actually built it.  Those good ideas accreted to  SunSp*t, which in turn made my contributions look so much greater.  Many people put more into making Eyefinity happen than I did.  Thanks guys and gals.
